A report was recently released regarding sexual assault on campuses across our nation. The report takes an in-depth look into why sexual assault is not discussed the way it should be. Feelings of fear and embarrassment along with worrying about being able to prove issues of consent were some of the top reasons why sexual assault goes unnoticed on campuses across the US.

The report states over 3 million students will be sexually assaulted during their college years. The US Department of Educations reports having over 400 sexual assault cases being investigated right now. Campuses in the state of Florida are involved in 20 of those cases.

The organization releasing the report hopes to see changes in how college campuses handle sexual assault cases. They also hope to give victims the encouragement to speak up and not to be afraid to report sexual assault.
