Forward Pinellas Working to Make Changes to Prevent Accidents

Forward Pinellas, an organization in Pinellas County, is aiming to make some changes in 2019 after some recent tragic accidents in the county. Leaders are hoping to see more safety measures put into place to aid in making traffic and driving a little safer. Some of the changes they hope to make include no turn on red signs, new bike lanes, more zebra striped crosswalks in hazardous areas, and education programs for drivers and pedestrians.

Even with changes in the near future, drivers are reminded to always stay alert and be aware while driving. Be sure to watch for pedestrians, bicyclists and stay clear of aggressive and dangerous drivers.
